Especially when your calendar is often fully booked, you need to act because there will always be unplanned tasks. And postponing, often means that the time you need to spend grows.
People will start calling and emailing and, even worse, things might go wrong.
And that will cost you more time than it would have if you dealt with it immediately.
Your problem just grows and grows.
This is called the time scarcity trap.
Working overtime is not the solution (except perhaps in times of crisis). You have to come up with something better than that. I will tell you how. First of all, I’ll point you in the right direction to avoid time scarcity, and second I will tell you what you can learn from artists. This will even give you the opportunity to use time scarcity to your benefit.
